Paying a casino in crypto is simple in principle – send coins to an address – but the details decide what it costs and how long it takes. This guide covers coins, networks, fees, minimums and limits, and shows the payment facts we documented for each casino.
Coins and networks are different things
USDT exists on several networks (for example Ethereum and Tron); Bitcoin can be sent on-chain or via Lightning at some casinos. The network determines the fee and the confirmation time – and sending on the wrong network can lose funds. Always match the network the casino shows in its cashier with the one your wallet uses.
Three kinds of fees
- Network fee – paid to the blockchain. Not controlled by the casino; varies by network and congestion.
- Casino fee – a percentage or flat amount the casino deducts. Some casinos state “no fee”; others publish nothing, which is not the same as zero.
- Conversion – casinos that hold balances in USD or EUR convert at their own rate at deposit and withdrawal.
Confirmations: why a deposit shows “pending”
A crypto deposit is not credited when you press send. The transaction first has to be included in a block, and then a number of further blocks have to be built on top of it – each one is a “confirmation”. Casinos set their own required confirmation count per coin and show it in the cashier; until it is reached the deposit sits as pending. The waiting time is the block time of the network multiplied by the confirmations required, plus any queueing when the network is busy and your fee is low.
- Bitcoin produces a block roughly every 10 minutes, so each confirmation is about 10 minutes on average – and “average” hides long gaps. A low fee can leave a transaction unconfirmed for hours.
- Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens (including USDT on Ethereum) confirm in seconds per block, but the fee (“gas”) rises sharply when the network is congested and can exceed a small deposit.
- Tron and TRC-20 tokens (USDT on Tron is the most common stablecoin route at crypto casinos) confirm in a few seconds and fees are low – which is why cashiers often recommend it for USDT.
- Lightning (offered for Bitcoin by BitStarz, for example) settles almost instantly and bypasses on-chain confirmations, but payments must stay within channel limits.
Confirmation counts differ between casinos and change over time, so we do not publish fixed numbers for them; the cashier is the binding source.
For the most common stablecoin decision – USDT on Tron or on Ethereum – see USDT TRC20 vs ERC20 at crypto casinos.
Choosing the network – and what happens on the wrong one
The single most common irreversible mistake is sending a token on a network the casino does not credit. USDT, USDC and several other assets exist on multiple chains with addresses that can look identical (an Ethereum and a BNB Smart Chain address are the same format), so the wallet will not stop you. The coins arrive at an address the casino may not control on that chain, and recovery – if offered at all – is manual, slow and often paid.
Where terms address this, they are not generous. BitStarz states that wrong-network deposits are only recovered above 5,000 USD, for a 0.1 BTC fee, and only if reported within 7 days (Terms 8.6.9). Most other casinos we profile do not publish a recovery rule at all, which in practice means a support request with no guaranteed outcome.
Common deposit mistakes
- Wrong network – pick the coin and the network in the cashier first, then match both in your wallet. If the cashier lists only “USDT (TRC-20)”, an ERC-20 transfer is a loss.
- Missing memo or tag – some assets (XRP, XLM, and exchange-internal transfers) need a destination tag; without it the deposit cannot be matched to your account.
- Below the minimum – deposits under the casino’s minimum for that coin may be credited late or not at all; the minimum is shown per coin in the cashier and, where published, on the profile.
- Reusing an old address – many cashiers rotate deposit addresses; sending to an address from a previous session can work, but is not guaranteed at every casino.
- Sending from a third party – a deposit from an exchange or wallet in someone else’s name can trip the source-of-funds clause and hold the withdrawal.
- Underpaying the fee – a stuck Bitcoin transaction is not lost, but it can take hours; most wallets let you bump the fee.
When in doubt, send a small test amount first. The extra network fee is cheaper than a lost deposit.
Minimums, maximums and limits
Most casinos set a minimum deposit and withdrawal per coin (often small) and a maximum per day or month. Limits are sometimes shown only inside the account rather than in the terms, and some terms allow large withdrawals to be paid in instalments. Where a profile shows a monthly limit, it comes from the binding terms; where it says “not published”, we could not find one.

Before your first deposit
- Confirm the casino accepts players from your country – the profile’s availability check compares your country with the casino’s own restricted list.
- Read the KYC clause: deposits from a wallet in someone else’s name can block a withdrawal.
- Note the withdrawal rule: most terms return funds to the deposit method or the same coin.
- Check the minimum withdrawal – a small balance may be stuck below it.
- Deposit only what you are prepared to lose. Responsible gambling. 18+.
