Behind most casino games is a game studio, not the casino itself. This guide shows which studios the 15 casinos we profile name on their own pages, what that does and does not tell you, how game categories differ, and why a provider you see in one country may not appear in yours. Everything below is the casinos’ own statement (“casino says”), counted from our records at build time – we do not play the games, we do not measure payouts, and a provider on this page is not a recommendation.
Short answer
Across the 15 profiled casinos the studios named most often are Evolution (13 of 15), Pragmatic Play (12 of 15), NetEnt (10 of 15). In total the profiles name 55 different studios, but the lists are very uneven: Winz.io names 29 providers on the page we read, Gamdom names 2. 11 of 15 profiles carry a note that the provider list is incomplete or varies by visitor country. Read every count as “named in the sources we read”, never as “offered” or “not offered”.
What a game provider is
A game provider (also called studio, developer or supplier) builds the games – slots, live dealer tables, crash games, table games – and the casino lists them in its lobby. Live casino tables are streamed from studios with dealers; slots and instant games run on the provider’s software. Some casinos also publish originals: games built in-house or exclusively for the site. Our records mark 888casino’s Section8 Studios as in-house, and 6 of 15 profiles list an “originals” category. The provider matters because it sets the game’s rules and its published return-to-player (RTP) – a figure we do not record here.
Provider matrix: who names whom
A dot means the casino names that studio on the pages we read. A dash means not named there – it does not mean the games are absent. Only studios named by at least 4 profiles get a column; the last column shows how many studios each casino names in total.

Names are normalised where a casino spells the same studio differently (for example “Hacksaw” and “Hacksaw Gaming”). Counts come straight from the profile records and update when the research does; the data of each casino is on its review page.
How to read the lists
- Different depth, not different quality. One casino names a couple of studios in its footer; another links a full provider filter. A short list is a short list, not a small catalogue.
- Not a ranking. A studio named by many profiles is common in our sample of 15 casinos. It says nothing about game quality, fairness or popularity with players.
- Partial by design. Several records say so explicitly: for example, Guts states about 55 providers in total (as recorded), while the profile names the ten we could read; Mirax’s games page links 47 provider filters, ten of which are named in our record.
Game categories
Casinos group games differently, so we map what each one lists to one controlled set of categories. Live casino is listed by 15 of 15 profiles, crash games by 8, a sportsbook by 11.
The two category lists with their own pages are crypto casinos with live casino and crypto casinos with a sportsbook; the pillar page compares all coins and features: crypto casinos compared.
Availability depends on where you are
A provider that a casino names may not be available to you. Our records show it repeatedly: 11 of 15 profiles note that the lists vary by country or are not complete, and Mirax’s terms (section 4) say provider availability varies by visitor country. Some terms tie restrictions to a provider’s requirements – Mirax’s terms name the game provider Evolution Group for part of its restricted-territory list. Before you rely on a game or studio, check the lobby while logged in from your own location – and check whether the casino accepts your country at all (licences, restricted-country lists on each profile).
When a casino’s own lobby is not visible to our research connection, we do not work around it. The Shuffle profile says so explicitly instead of guessing a list.
Originals and “provably fair”
9 of 15 profiles list provably fair games as a feature. Provably fair games let you recompute a result from published seeds; that is a property of specific games, not of a provider or a casino. How it works and how to check a bet yourself: provably fair explained. Studio-made slots and live tables cannot be recomputed by players; whether an independent lab tested them is outside what we verify.
Checklist: checking a provider before you play
- Open the casino’s provider filter or games page and look for the studio by name – while logged in from your own country.
- Open the specific game and read its published rules and RTP in the game’s info panel; the figure shown on that casino’s game page is the one that applies to that casino.
- Check the bonus terms: games from some studios contribute less or nothing to wagering (bonus terms explained).
- Check the casino’s licence and who operates it (ownership explained) – the studio does not stand behind your balance, the casino does.
Questions about game providers
Which game providers do most crypto casinos use?
Among the 15 casinos we profile, the studios named most often are Evolution (13 of 15), Pragmatic Play (12 of 15), NetEnt (10 of 15). That is a count of names on the casinos’ own pages, not a measure of how many games are offered or how popular a studio is.
Does a casino without a provider on this list not offer that provider’s games?
Not necessarily. The lists are incomplete by nature – several records say so – and availability varies by country. A dash in the matrix means “not named on the pages we read”.
Are originals better than games from known studios?
We make no such claim. Originals are games the casino builds or commissions; some are provably fair, which lets players recompute results. That is a verifiable property of a specific game, not a quality ranking.
Do game providers affect the Smarter Score?
No. Game lists are display information only and never part of the score; see how the score is made. Commissions and partner deals are never part of it either.
A bigger catalogue is not a safer one
More studios mean more choice, not better odds. Every game has a house edge, and a studio name does not change that. Set a limit before you play. Responsible gambling. 18+ · T&Cs of the casino apply.
